We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background and experience developing complex and distributed solutions. You'll be helping the rest of the team to build the next gen platform for data science focusing in HPC, Big Data and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Programming skills: 

• C/C++ 5 years

• Python 5 years

• Expertise in multithreading, and distributed processing

• Strong mathematical and computer science background

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms 

• Good practices developing high quality software are essential 

• Fluent English

Desirable skills:

• Experience providing Docker / Kubernetes containerized solutions

• Familiarity with Big data architectures 

• Previous work in Agile cultures (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

• Others: Linux, git, API REST

• Expertise in R, Matlab or Octave
